Powerful tool here! Excellent blade for chopping down smaller trees and batonning logs, it really delivers for a flat-grind blade. I am always amazed at the quality Ontario KC can manage to offer for the price, considering these are made in USA, I think it's a steal! I was uncertain about the handle at first, but in the end it absorbs a more shocks and stress compared to a full broad tang blade. And using a well made lanyard will also help in leverage capabilities. The hand guard has loosen up on mine, but I'd say I don't mind for the price. This is the blade I use whenever I don't want people to try my too expensive Fallkniven. And it's often the blade I recommend to people as a first chopper too. Decent coating for the price, though none last forever, keep the blade and edge clean and oiled because it's carbon steel, and you got a powerful long lasting tool at a small price.
